Hillian-Sanders named national CLD Teacher of the Year

Brighton Elementary School’s Lenette Hillian-Sanders has been named one of just two national Council for Learning Disabilities (CLD) 2021 Teachers of the Year. Hillian-Sanders earned his honor after being named the Virginia Council for Learning Disabilities Teacher of the Year this past spring.

Churchland Academy Elementary is a community of learning where staff maintains a strong focus on academic achievement and students are expected to meet high expectations. Our students are considered to be a precious resource and our role is nurturing them to develop to their fullest potential.

The faculty and staff of Churchland Academy are attentive to the individual learning styles of each student and accommodates for their intellectual, social, emotional and physical differences.
